לימודי קודש/Limudei Kodesh Copywork & Activity Printables

Welcome to my Limudei Kodesh / Jewish Studies copywork and activity printables page.  As of June 2013, I am slowly but surely moving all my printables over to 4shared because Google Docs / Drive is just too flaky for me.

What you’ll find here:

Other printables!

  • For Miscellaneous homeschool helps and printables, click here.

If you use any of my worksheets, activities or printables, please leave a comment or email me at Jay3fer “at” gmail “dot” com, to link to your blog, to tell me what you’re doing with it, or just to say hi!  If you want to use them in a school, camp or co-op setting, please email me (remove the X’s) for rates.

covershadowIf you just want to say Thank You, here’s a good way:

Or… you can buy my weekly parsha book, The Family Torah:  the story of the Torah, written to be read aloud.

Trouble downloading???

  • Older files are hosted on Google Docs.  If you have trouble with a Google Docs PDF file, click here.
  • Newer files are hosted on 4Shared.  If you have trouble with a file on 4shared, click here.

Parsha Copywork / פרשת השבוע:

imageEarly in the year, if you’re just starting to  learn parsha, just beginning a new book of the Torah, or really just anytime, it might be a good time to look at “Hearing the Message”, a one-page poster I put together summarizing the theme of each of the 5 books of the Torah.  PDF downloads here:  Ashkenaz, Sefard.

Dsc04608_thumb[1]Also, if you’re FINISHING a book of the Torah, check out this 3-D Paper Pop-Ups activity for “Chazak, Chazak, v’Nischazeik” (חֲזַק חֲזַק וְנִתְחַזֵּק) which we say when we finish reading a book of the Torah together in shul.  Here’s the link, in case you missed it.

The following are copywork and other resources for specific parshiyos.

p.s.  I don’t know why the 4shared thumbnails always look so WEIRD.  Please, please, PLEASE let me know if the actual download is messed up.  There are things I can do to fix it!

    1. The pasha copywork pages look interesting in thumbnail but googledocs won't pull them up in full size.

    2. I've noticed that for a while. From what I can tell, it's a bug in Google docs - you have to download the documents; they won't open in preview mode. LMK if the download link doesn't work, though.

    3. I printed the copywork for this week's Parsha to use in our homeschool. I tried to print the Tefillos copywork and wasn't able to print those. These are awesome! I can't wait to show them to the kids tomorrow!

    4. Kathleen: I have (tried to) fix the links. Try them now.

    5. Thank you!! Yes, I was able to print them this time. The kids really loved the first Parsha page I printed and wanted more.

    6. Hi. Thank you for doing all this work. I printed the Tu B'Shevat activity pack and really like it. I teach Hebrew School. May I use some of your stuff for my class and tell my fellow teachers about your blog?

    7. Tselema: I learned once that "sources bring moshiach." Any educational use, freely distributed, with attribution, is fine.

    8. I have not been able to make Google Docs work. I can print when it the box comes up saying to open the pdf file. Last week's Parsha and cut out page printed fine. By the way I have loved using your parsha copywork pages, the poems, Parsha overview and other printables in our homeschool. They are great!!

    9. It's an ongoing problem. I assume you mean the Tetzaveh page won't download? Every once in a while Google docs decides to treat the PDFs different; I have no clue why, bc I upload them all exactly the same way. Give me a few minutes to try fixing it, then try again. Post a comment if it's still broken by this evening.

    10. Apparently Google Docs is having a problem. They have an error message that gives the option to download anyway but nothing happens. I'll guess I'll just keep trying until it's working again. Thanks!

    11. I'm sorry to keep bugging you! Tetzaveh keeps getting a messg:

Sorry, we are unable to scan this file for viruses.
We are experiencing technical difficulties. Download anyway (it won't download).

Apparently it's just that file because I went back & last week's comes up. I have no idea if that's something fixable on your end or not but I thought I'd let you know.

    12. I am very frustrated with Google docs. Here is a direct link to download the file.
If that doesn't work, email me and I'll send it to you directly: Jay3fer "at" gmail "dot" com.

    17. Hi Jennifer,

Have you protected the google docs? It won't let me in!

What do you have for B'reishit? Anything good?

      Thanks,

      Betsy

    18. Hi, Im a mom from Holland searching the internet for ways to teach my children thora. This is a great blog, with lots of ideas. Is it okay if i use this, translated in dutch? My children are little.....!!

      ReplyDelete
    19. @Nelleke:
I'm not sure exactly what you mean.
You are welcome to print the printables and use them with your own family. If you have to translate them first, that sounds fine, too, as long as it's just to use with your own kids. Thanks for stopping by!

    20. I printed out the Borei Nefashot pages for my little ones--they look great, and a great way to teach them.

      Thank you!

    21. Hi, I really love your work, I am trying to print out this week parsha but I can't, please please help me! could you please send me the link? Google docs is not working

      ReplyDelete
    22. @Minor, thank you! The best I can do is that if you request that I share a document, I can share it specifically with you as soon as I get a chance. Theoretically, everything is shared with anyone who has the URL, but it often doesn't work and I have no idea why. Frustrating!!!

    24. Hi Jennifer
thank you for all the wonderful resources
I am trying to download the Chanukah Bears Menorahs & Dreidels Sizing and the other Chanukah sheets but googledocs does not give me permission can you please grant me permission or better yet please send me the pdfs
      much appreciated Shoshana

      ReplyDelete
    25. @Shoshana: This is why I eventually stopped using Google Docs. I already HAVE shared everything using the most broad permissions possible, but it still sends me an individual email every single time somebody wants to download them. I have no idea why. In the meantime, I have manually found and approved all the share requests in my spam folder and hopefully yours was among them.

It's Heart Month: 3 days left to save lives!

Dear Friends & Family: Hi, everybody! Sorry I can’t stop by in person... you're a bit out of my area.  :-) We’re out walking up and down on our street on this beautiful afternoon to raise money for Heart & Stroke.  This cause is important to me (I won't say it's close to my heart , because that would be tacky!).  I hope you'll join me by donating online. Growing up, I watched as every single one of my grandparents' lives were shortened by heart disease and strokes, and my father had a defibrillator that saved his life on more than one occasion.  Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 Canadians and are the #1 killer of women. Please click this link to be redirected to my main page at the Heart & Stroke website: http://tinyurl.com/AtlasHeart Thus ends my personal appeal.  Official information follows.  :-))) ----- Heart disease and stroke is the #1 killer of women - taking more women's lives than all forms of cancer combined. But no one is immune. Th
